USITC Schedules Expedited Review on Antidumping Duty Order
Estimated reading time: 2–3 minutes
The United States International Trade Commission (USITC) has announced the scheduling of an expedited review. This review is to determine if revoking the antidumping duty order on ironing tables and certain parts from China would cause material harm to the industry.
The review began on October 5, 2026. This comes after the domestic parties responded adequately to a prior notice. However, the response from the other parties was inadequate. Therefore, the USITC decided on an expedited review.
A staff report was prepared and placed in the nonpublic record. This report will be available to certain people on January 20, 2027. A public version will be available later.
Parties involved in the review can send written comments to the Secretary. These comments are due by January 27, 2027. Comments cannot have new facts. Any person not involved in the review may send a brief written statement.
The Commission found the response from Seymour Mfg. LLC to be adequate. Other interested parties are not allowed to comment.
The review is considered very complex. The Commission decided to extend the review period by up to 90 days. This decision is according to their authority under U.S. law.
For more information, interested persons can visit the Commission’s website. They can also look at the public record for the proceeding online.
This review follows rules in the Tariff Act of 1930. The notice about the review was published on October 27, 2026. Lisa Barton, Secretary to the Commission, issued the notice.
