Correction to Stainless Steel Sinks Duty Rates from China
Estimated reading time: 1–7 minutes
The U.S. Department of Commerce has issued a correction notice regarding the countervailing duty on drawn stainless steel sinks from China. This comes after incorrect information was published in the Federal Register on two occasions.
On July 25, 2018, the final results of the first sunset review of the countervailing duty were published. The notice stated an incorrect all-others subsidy rate of 8.61 percent. Similarly, on October 20, 2023, the notice for the second sunset review also listed this wrong rate.
The correct all-others subsidy rate should be 8.51 percent. This adjustment is crucial for stakeholders relying on accurate duty rates for their operations.
The International Trade Administration, a part of the Department of Commerce, is responsible for these proceedings. Sarah Keith, from AD/CVD Operations, Office II, is the contact person for further information. She can be reached at (202) 482-0264.
The Department of Commerce is committed to providing accurate information and has promptly corrected these errors. This notification of correction is made under the Tariff Act of 1930 and related regulations.
For more details, interested parties can access the full documents through the Federal Register or contact the Department directly.
This notice ensures that businesses dealing with drawn stainless steel sinks from China are informed about the accurate duty rates applicable.
