Date: 2026-10-19

The U.S. Department of Commerce has completed its review of certain steel nails from Taiwan. The nails were found to have been sold in the United States at a price lower than the normal value during the period of July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025.

Background:

This comes after the preliminary results were published on June 16, 2026. No comments were received on these preliminary findings.

Scope of Review:

The review covered nails with a shaft length of up to 12 inches. These nails can be made from various steels, finishes, and head types. The nails can be packaged in bulk or collated in any material.

Exclusions:

Some nails are excluded from the order. These include nails in packages with fewer than 25 nails, nails used in certain furniture, and nails used in specific hand tools. Other specific types of nails like corrugated nails and thumb tacks are also excluded.

Use of Adverse Facts Available:

The review involved two producers/exporters: Faithful Engineering Products Co., Ltd. and Top Forever Screws Co., Ltd. These companies did not supply required information. So, the Department of Commerce used the highest dumping rate from past reviews, which is 78.17%, as their dumping margin.

Because there were no new calculations, no disclosure was made to interested parties.

Assessment Rates and Cash Deposit Requirements:

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will assess duties on the entries of subject merchandise as per the final results. New cash deposit rates based on these results will apply starting from the date of this announcement.

Exporter/Producer Rates:

  • Faithful Engineering Products Co., Ltd.: 78.17%
  • Top Forever Screws Co., Ltd.: 78.17%

Concluding Remarks:

Importers must file a certificate regarding the reimbursement of antidumping duties. Failing this may result in double duties.

This notice serves as a reminder for returning or destroying proprietary information disclosed under administrative protective orders in accordance with regulations. Violations may lead to sanctions.

The Department of Commerce’s review is in accordance with sections 751(a)(1) and 777(i) of the Tariff Act of 1930 and relevant regulations.
