Expedited Reviews on Utility Scale Wind Towers from India, Malaysia, and Spain Scheduled
Estimated reading time: 3 minutes
The United States International Trade Commission (ITC) has announced the scheduling of expedited reviews regarding utility scale wind towers imported from India, Malaysia, and Spain. This decision is based on the Tariff Act of 1930. The purpose is to examine if revoking duty orders could lead to injury to the U.S. industry within a reasonably foreseeable time.
The Commission made this determination on October 5, 2026. They noted that the response from the domestic interested party group was adequate, but other responses were inadequate. Therefore, the decision was made not to conduct full reviews.
A staff report with information about these reviews will be made available to certain individuals on January 7, 2027. A public version of the report will be issued later.
Parties involved in the reviews can file written comments by January 14, 2027. Comments must not include new factual information. If the Department of Commerce extends its review timeline, comments will be due three days after the department issues its results.
The Commission wants submissions to follow proper procedures. This includes serving filed documents to all review parties and submitting a certificate of service. The Commission has extended the review period by up to 90 days due to the complexity of the cases.
Lisa Barton, Secretary to the Commission, issued this notice on October 28, 2026. The reviews are done under the authority of the Tariff Act, with the notice appearing in Section 207.62 of the Commission’s rules.
